Acceptable items:

Techland accepts Apple brand and other OEM products and devices for recycling.

Unacceptable items:

Other types of consumer electronic equipment, such as VCRs, DVDs, TVs, etc.
Disassembled laptops/desktops or monitors with cracked glass.
Equipment with loose batteries, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), or backup battery systems containing lead-acid batteries.
Individual parts that are not genuine Apple products.

Hazardous electronic waste, including:

Separate battery
Uninterruptible Power Supply/Battery Backup System
Disassembled or damaged CRT or LCD monitor
Products contaminated or suspected of being contaminated with chemicals or biological agents

Techland's commitment:

Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and international environmental laws regarding electronic waste.
Follow best practices for electronics recycling management.
Environmentally friendly recycling and reuse of electronic products, using advanced technology to maximize material recovery.
Perform a data destruction on all hard drives and data storage media devices.

Consumer Responsibilities:

Data Deletion : Consumers are responsible for deleting confidential and proprietary data from all computer hardware, data storage, and electronic devices before the equipment leaves their premises.
Data Liability : Techland is not responsible for any data that is not deleted from the device prior to packaging and shipping.
Items are not returnable : Consumers are advised that once hardware and media equipment has been accepted for shipment, it is not returnable.

Consumer Agreement:

Hazardous Materials : Agree not to ship any hazardous materials.
Packaging : Products and equipment must be properly packaged to reduce the risk of damage and exposure to hazardous materials during transportation.
All boxes must be securely closed and sealed to prevent damage or loss of components during transport.

This agreement ensures that the recycling process is carried out safely, responsibly and in compliance with environmental standards.
